Popular Villages / Touristic Villages in Nepal
The majority of the population in Nepal lives in the villages. Although many patterns of village life have existed, the typical village was small, consisting of perhaps 5 to 30 families. Homes were situated together for sociability and defence, and land surrounding the living quarters was farmed. Depends upon the culture, traditions, locations and social rituals and customs Nepal composed of variety of villages having several ethinic group.
Nowadays, Nepal's villages are on attraction for tourism. Several villages welcomed tourist and make them happy by their hospitality. The way of life of resident population doesn’t change, influenced by the tourists, it remains the same. Tourists eat the dishes common to the ordinary residents, they have the possibility to take participation in the rural living. In eastern region of Nepal ethnic group such as Rai, Limbu, Kirat, Sherpa and many others are living whereas in the periphery of Kathmandu, Tamangs are living in villages. we find others caste of people equally in these area of nation such as Brahamin, Chhetris, Newars and many others. In the western part of nepal, Mainly in annapurna region, Magars, Gurungs, Thakalis are found in beautiful stone paved villages. In Nepal, village tourism is promoting by government bodies by joining with local groups such as Ama Samuha (Mother group).
The reason why this kind of tourism compares favorably with the traditional one. Money, spent by tourists is given straight to the population. If the rural tourism develops further, it will be able to play an important role in country’s development, decreasing the poverty level. Local administration greatly supports this kind of tourism.
