THE 8TH MEETING OF NEPAL-TIBET (CHINA) JOINT COMMITTEE FOR TOURISM PROMOTION

Lhasa: The Eighth Meeting of the Nepal-Tibet (China) Joint Committee for Tourism Promotion was held in Lhasa from 23-27th December, 2014.

Mr. Binay Basnet, Executive Member of NATTA was nominated to participate in the above meeting. Director General of Tourism Department, Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation Mr.Tulashi Prasad Gautam and Nepalese Consul-General Mr. Hari Prasad Bashyal had jointly led the sixteen Nepalese Delegates representing government and non-government sector in the meeting.

From the Tibet (China) side, Mr. Zeng Wanming, the Vice-Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region (China) led the 21 member Chinese delegates. The meeting, as felt by both the delegates from Nepal and Tibet (China) went very fruitful and a fresh MOU was signed by the Chief of the delegates on 25th December in Lhasa. Besides the agenda of easing the tourists mobility in the Tibet Region, the meeting also focused on the cross Boarder and Immigration points.
